The EE will work closely with Nodal’s owner/designer to take the existing designs to a new place. Over the course of prototype production, Nodal emphasizes learning through failure in order to grow core company IP.Īs such, long term the EE job position will evolve in close connection with the product evolution. Nodal practices minimally viable design production with a focus on fundamentals, and future flexibility via software updates. Along the way, the EE should be able to do research and apply the research to help optimize the designs both for performance and cost. Initial responsibilities will be to port existing schematics and layouts for motor drivers, power regulation, and communication circuitry into new form factors over the next 5 months. It is the current expectation that a qualified candidate will convert into a long term position. After that period long term employment will be evaluated. This is a full-time job offer with an initial 4 month trial period. Nodal Film Systems is evolving their existing cutting edge motor architecture into a family of products and is looking for an ambitious entry to intermediate level Electrical Engineer to assist in the initial launch of the product and beyond to maintain the electronics through production.
